Experienced Middle School Opportunities
Students signing up for this program must have previous PDC show experience. Experiecned or “Advanced” middle schol programs are for students who have been in at least 2 PDC productions and uphold the PDC pledge throughout rehearsals. This is a leadership program and PDC’s “varsity” team- the ones who have consistently shown in the past they are capable of not only leading a show, but leading a group of peers as a responsible, kind, helpful human. They have a history or on time, regular attendance and good communication with their directors. They work hard at home in between rehearsals to enhance their acting skills, they willingly step out of their comfort zones with their peers and take bold risks on stage, they happily support each other, and are capable and willing to elevate our show game.
We know that many kids have trained with other programs and we have no doubt that many have the ability to perform in our advanced shows. As our program evolves we may allow new-to-PDC students audition for our experienced student shows, but for now it is only open to kids who have some PDC experience (either in our community programs or at one of our schools.)
