Middle School Auditions
Students signing up to audition for our advanced middle school program must have previous experience in musicals and have the desire to learn how to become better actors.
Our experienced or “advanced” middle school programs assume that students have had multiple experiences performing on stage in front of an audience. This is a leadership program and PDC’s “varsity” team - the ones who have consistently shown in the past they are capable of not only leading a show, but leading a group of peers as a responsible, kind, helpful human. They have a history of on time, regular attendance and good communication with their directors. They work hard at home in between rehearsals to enhance their acting skills, they willingly step out of their comfort zones with their peers and take bold risks on stage, they happily support and encourage each other, and are capable and willing to elevate our show game. We work very hard, but we have a lot of fun, too.
For the first time in 2027, kids who have not previously been involved in a PDC show may audition for an upcoming program. New-to-PDC experienced performers must provide a letter of recommendation from a previous director in a musical. Spaces in our programs are limited. Kids auditioning should be serious about performance.
