Woodstock Theater Fun

Spring Session: April 2 - June 4

Tuesdays

2:30-3:45pm

WHO:  Woodstock Kindergarten through 2nd grader students. Class is limited to 12 kids.

WHAT: The perfect class to introduce your child to the world of theater!
Our youngest thespians will learn theatre exercises to encourage creativity, play, and self expression! We will play lots of theater games, explore with our imaginations, and eventually build a little performance where the kiddos share their creativity with family!
We are excited and lucky to have McKinley Hughes back with PDC! McKinley worked with many of our Theater Fun kids years ago and now they're all grown up! In addition to the work she does in the theater creating her own work, she is also studying to become a Drama Therapist. Your kids are in great hands as they build confidence and joy through theater.

WHERE: Woodstock Elementary, room 18

WHEN: Tuesdays 2:30-3:45pm (Spring session is April 2-June 4)

HOW MUCH: $165

Additional PTA scholarships might be available through the Woodstock PTA. Contact Ponny Kosmas.

Additional Info:

SNACK: Please pack an extra snack in your child's lunch/backpack. We will have a short break after school so the kids can have a snack, go to the bathroom, etc.

SHOW/COSTUMES/EXTRAS: Our K-2s don’t tend to have much in the way of costumes or sets since they’re just starting out on their theater journey, but what we do use will be included in tuition (or we will ask for donations, things to borrow, etc). Each semester is different depending on our class dynamics and what our teacher thinks the kids can do with great success. The key is feeling good about what we accomplish, not pushing kids beyond their abilities.

REFUNDS: We will refund minus a $35 admin fee up to the start of class. Afterward we will refund (minus $35 admin fee plus $20 per class) up to the 3rd class. After the 3rd class there are no refunds.

WAITLIST: There is no charge to be on the waitlist. If you do not hear from us by the 3rd week of class there will no longer be spots opening up for the semester. We don’t reach out to waitlisted families unless a spot opens up.

ATTENDANCE: Attendance is important as the kids build up to their final day. There will be a “SHOW ME” on our final class day. Frequently absent kids will feel left behind and the kids who are in class will be missing partners. While this is certainly a pressure-free zone, we want to set kids up for success. Of course, if your child is sick, please keep them home. We just ask that you save play dates and other activities for other days of the week.
